Many of you may have seen the review video (https://youtu.be/Nr-8idUAnyI) on this already. However, I wanted to attempt to explain the changes I made to the original pattern a little better. I mashed up two patterns to create the finished cardigan for Jack (the husband). I pulled out the front and back shoulder yoke pieces from the Newcastle Cardigan from Thread Theory (https://threadtheory.ca/collections/sewing-patterns/products/newcastle-cardigan-pdf). I then overlaid those pieces onto the traced out front and back pieces of the Far Far (https://wardrobebyme.com/products/farfar-classic-cardigan). They weren't exact matches obviously so I laid another piece of tracing paper in between those two pieces and enlarged the yoke shapes from the Newcastle to fit the Far Far, labeled and cut those out. It was a very simple and quick "hack" to make. I encourage you to give it a try either for him or for yourself.

I'm planning on doing another version of this for Jack soon with grey and black ponte knit. This one is on hold for the time being because he has lost over 20 pounds and is wanting to lose a bit more. He is hesitant to have me make him any more clothes while he's losing and I totally understand where he is coming from. I'm finding it more difficult to sew for myself as I am also losing and I would hate to "waste" fabric on something I'll only be able to wear for a little while. I hope this was helpful and if you give it a try tag me on Instagram with your make, I'd love to see it!

See ya!
